Shotton Colliery Community Action Scheme

We have moved into Shotton Colliery where we will be from 21 July until 3 October 2025.

We will concentrate on the following streets.

  • to the north - Front Street
  • to the west - Hawthorn Terrace
  • to the south - Bridge Road, Brandling Court and Cullen Close
  • to the east - Shotton Lane, Dene Crescent, Brackenridge, Hanover Crescent
  • and all the streets within that boundary.

A map showing the area covered is below.

In the first phase of this programme, we ask local groups, residents, and businesses in the local community about what concerns they would like us to tackle together and agree on 3-4 priorities.

In the second phase on this programme we use this information to then plan and carry out 7 weeks of action.

In the final phase of this programme we ask you what impact our actions have had on the area.

Identifying issues and planning priorities

10 July 2025 - 3 August 2025

Our programme officially moves to Shotton Colliery on 21 July 2025.

Please share your views in this first phase, if you live, work or visit this area. You can attend a drop in session, complete the survey online or complete a paper survey.

We want to learn more about what's good about the area, what are the main issues in the area and where do you currently find help with a number of different issues.

Your feedback in this phase will help us identify priorities that we, along with our partners, can take action on in the next phase of this programme. Priorities could include a range of things such as tackling antisocial behaviour, dealing with rubbish, making homes more energy efficient and ways to improve health and wellbeing.
