Welcome to our Adult Social Care Service User Forum
Adult social care helps people who need extra support to live safely and independently. This support can include help at home, help in the community, equipment for daily living, changes to your home, residential care, and support for carers.
We are setting up a Service User Forum. This forum will be a space for people who use our adult social care or provide support as a family member, an unpaid carer, supporter or helper of someone who uses adult social care, to share their experiences and ideas to help us improve and design our services. In these sessions, we will share stories and videos that show how people are helping to shape our adult social care services and plans.
We will be holding three forum meetings per year, which will take place online. We know this will not suit everyone, so as the forum develops, we hope to offer a choice to join the meeting with other people at a local community venue.
We will also be working with other colleagues in the council, adult care service providers, and voluntary and community organisations to develop lots of other ways that people can use their experiences and expertise to influence decisions about our services. These could be face to face meetings, online conversations or a mixture. When we have more information, we will share it with you.
You can join our Adult Social Care User Forum. Signing up will mean that you receive information about events and can take part in the things that interest you.
There is a short survey for you to fill in. It helps us learn about you, your experiences with adult social care, and how you want to be involved. This information will help us plan the user forum meetings.
You can choose between 2 different dates and times for the first Service User Forum meetings - register below to take part in them and we will be in touch to welcome you, give you more information and answer any questions you may have about coming along.
