Welcome to our Adult Social Care Involvement Forum
Adult Social Care
Adult social care supports people who need extra help to live safely and independently. This support can include:
- Help at home
- Support in the community
- Equipment to make everyday tasks easier
- Adaptations to your home
- Residential care
- Support for unpaid carers
Our Adult Social Care Involvement Forum
We are setting up an Adult Social Care Involvement Forum.
This forum is a place for:
- People who use adult social care
- Family members, unpaid carers, and supporters
- People who help connect communities with social care services
The forum gives you the chance to share your experiences and ideas to help improve and shape our services.
During forum meetings, we will also share stories and videos showing how people are already helping to shape adult social care.
Forum meetings
- We will hold three meetings a year
- Meetings will take place online
We know online meetings are not suitable for everyone. As the forum develops, we hope to offer the option to join meetings in person at local community venues.
Further ways to get involved
We are working with council teams, care providers, and voluntary and community organisations to create more ways for you to get involved.
These may include:
- Face-to-face meetings
- Online discussions
- A mix of both
We will share more information as it becomes available.
Tell us what you think
We would like you to complete a short survey. This will help us understand:
- Your experience with adult social care
- How you would like to be involved
Your feedback will help us plan the Service User Forum.
What happens next
- Our first forum meetings took place in June 2026
- The next meetings are planned for early October 2026.
After you complete the survey, we will:
- Keep in touch with updates
- Let you know when you can register for meetings
- Provide more information and answer any questions.
