Join our Adult Social Care Service User Forum
We’re setting up a Service User Forum for people who use our social care services, or who provide support as a family member, an unpaid carer, supporter or helper of someone who uses adult social care. This includes people who have used or supported those who have used our social care services in the past.
We want to work with people who have experience of adult social care, to help us understand what makes good care; so that our services can be shaped by and meet the needs of the people who use them.
We want to celebrate what happens when people are involved and we look forward to showing the real difference it makes when people share their experiences.
The forum is a community of people who want to get involved in opportunities to co-produce services with us.
You do not have to take part in everything. Being a part of our Service User Forum simply means we can invite you to get involved when we want to speak with people who have lived experience of our services.
Examples of what you might help with
- helping us to make our leaflets, information and surveys clear and easy to understand
- taking part in discussions about how well services are working
- highlighting gaps in support that mean some people might be missing out
- helping us make decisions about how limited funding is used
- joining interview panels for some staff roles
- giving feedback on how well our leaders are performing
We’ll use a mix of online, email, phone and other contact options, so it’s easy to get involved. There will also be opportunities to get involved outside of normal office hours.
