Dawdon Community Action Scheme
We are preparing to move into Dawdon where we will be from 6 May until 18 July 2025.
The count indicates there are around 450 properties in this area. We will concentrate on the following streets:
- Fox Street
- Strangways Street
- Ilchester Street
- Stavordale Street
- King Edward Road
- Wynyard Street
- Dawdon Cresent
- Longnewton Street
- Embleton Mews
- Lindisfarne House
- Queen Alexandra Road - partial
- Embankment Road - partial
- Cottages Road - partial
The map shows the area we will cover.
In the first phase of this programme, we ask local groups, residents, and businesses in the local community about what concerns they would like us to tackle together and agree on 3-4 priorities.
In the second phase, we use this information to then plan and carry out 7 weeks of action.
In the final phase, we ask you what impact our actions have had on the area.

During this phase we take action on your priorities over a seven week period.
A summary of the key actions for your area are:
- Anti-Social Behaviour
- Rubbish that has been dumped in gardens, on streets and on waste ground being removed
- Dog Fouling in yards and the wider community
